A quiet companion for quitting

Quit the habit.
Become yourself again.

StayClear is a private, no-shame app for stepping away from the habit you wish you didn't have. Daily check-ins, honest journaling, and a panic button for when the urge hits — with you, not at you.

— What's inside
01

A daily check-in, not a streak you fear breaking.

One question, asked honestly. Relapses are logged, not punished — because honesty is what makes the streak mean something.

02

The panic button for the moment the urge arrives.

Open the app, see the photo of why you're doing this, take a breath. Built for the 90 seconds when willpower runs out.

03

A journal that holds what you can't say out loud.

Plain text, no AI, no audience. Your entries stay in your iCloud account — encrypted, end-to-end, yours.

Built on the quiet conviction that you don't need another app yelling at you.

Most habit apps are loud. Streaks, fire emojis, leaderboards. They turn a private struggle into a performance — and the moment you slip, the performance is over.

StayClear is the opposite. The interface is calm. The copy is gentle. There is no social feed. There is no shaming. There is just a small set of tools, used a few minutes a day, that help you become honest with yourself about something hard.

It's the app we wished existed when we needed it.

I had started to dread the mornings after. Three months in, I woke up and just felt like myself again.

Common questions.

Is StayClear free?

Onboarding, which shows you the value you'll get from the app, is free. Use of the journal, achievements, and full history are part of a subscription that you can start, pause, or cancel at any time from the App Store.

What data does StayClear collect?

None that leaves your devices. Your check-ins, journal entries, photos, and streak data are stored privately in your own iCloud account so they sync across your iPhone and iPad.

We don't run analytics on your content. We don't sell anything. We can't read your journal — it's encrypted by Apple before it leaves your device.

What if I relapse?

You log it. That's the whole answer. The app is built around the assumption that quitting is non-linear — relapses are data, not failure. The Journey view shows you a clear-eyed picture of how the past two weeks actually went, and the streak resets without ceremony.

Is this a clinical tool?

No. StayClear is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or a recovery program. If your habit is causing serious harm to your life or to others, please talk to a professional. The app is designed to sit alongside that work, not replace it.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone (iOS 17 and later) and iPad. There is no Android version planned at this time — the privacy story we want to tell depends on iCloud's end-to-end encryption.

Can I delete everything?

Yes, from Settings → Reset. One tap wipes every check-in, journal entry, photo, and streak from your iCloud account, on every device, immediately. We keep no copy.
